Who are you & What are you all about?

"My name is Jordan Brown and I am a 28 year-old Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) who is passionate for helping individuals start and grow their small businesses!"

Where are your from and why are you here?

"I was born in Manitoba, grew up in Nipawin and Prince Albert and then moved to Saskatoon for University.  After graduating with my B.Comm. Degree from the U of S, I decided to move to Calgary to article with PwC LLP for three years and earn my CA designation.  I decided to move back to Saskatoon after becoming a CA and start my own accounting shop called Lift Accounting!"

What is your business page about?

"The Facebook business page for Lift Accounting is designed to be a place where I can post content (i.e. articles, videos, etc.) that I think local entrepreneurs will find useful and informative.  Each day I try to post content on a variety of business and accounting topics such as Salary vs. Dividends, The Benefits of Incorporation, and How to Determine what your Business is Worth."

Tell us a little about your personal mission and vision and how it ties into your business plan...

"I am a believer in the concept of "Doing well by doing good" which was instilled in me during my volunteer experience with Enactus Saskatchewan at the U of S during my B.Comm. Degree.  Ways in which I try to apply this concept within the business plan for Lift Accounting includes sponsoring events/individuals who are making a difference in the community, serving as a Futurepreneur Mentor to a local young entrepreneur, and offering reduced hourly rates to Startups who are trying to get their business off the ground!"
